Seattle Times reported that North Beacon Hill is the most gentrified neighborhood in Seattle, Meaning rentals and home prices have gone up and are going up very fast!
We would like your input on how the needs of the community for low-cost housing, arts and cultural spaces and business spaces can be met. On-line survey available through September 27,2021.

Jefferson Community Center to Offer Summer Programs To Community
KUDOS to our PTA partners from Beacon Hill Int’l School, Dearborn Park Int’l School, Kimball and Maple, as well as Beacon Arts and Jefferson Advisory Council partners, Jefferson Community Center will now offer summer programs for our community. We also asked that Jefferson Center open in the fall but did not get a response. We need to follow up.
King County Climate Action Plan (SCAP) to Include Aircraft Emissions
KUDOS to KC Councilmember Girmay Zahilay, Beacon Hill Council, El Centro De La Raza and King County Int’l Airport Community Coalition for amending the SCAP to include for the very first-time measuring aircraft Green House Gas (GHG) emissions from King County/Boeing, Renton and Sea-Tac airports, establishing a Joint Technical & Community Task Force, and setting GHG target reduction goals for KC Int’l Airport.
We want safe place for people to live, learn, shop, pray, play and volunteer at Beacon Hill. We are 72% people of color and 44% immigrants and refugees.
We lift-up Black Lives Matters, anti- hate against Asian Pacific Islander and other initiative to move from violence to peace and justice.
We celebrate our diversity and want to keep our neighbors.
We work on anti-displacement initiatives to keep our neighbors and businesses in place and honor their contributions with the 100+ significant people, places, and events at Beacon Hill.
