6-6-22 Crosscut's article, Climate change takes a toll on Seattleites mental health, features licensed mental health counselor Megan Slade and educator Maritza Laureano Ortega. Both work on our Fix The Harm education campaign on aircraft air and noise pollution. Children and adult participants expressed distress from pollution and climate heat/wildfire smoke incidents.
Local Energy Action Plan
Beacon Hill Council is excited to partner with El Centro de la Raza, US Department of Energy, Seattle Office of Sustainability and Environment, and Seattle City Light to develop a Local Energy Action plan. We will identify opportunities in Beacon Hill to transition to cleaner energy and more efficient equipment for homes, gathering places, and businesses.
